GEFANGENE SONNE (OPUS#42)

Seemingly it floats, radiating golden light, yearning to rise – held back only by the fragile strand. Yet is this appearance deceptive? Is the sun a burden, heavy with weight, the strand both hindering and supporting
Strength, longing, ambition. And yet it is not free. It remains bound. An eternal conflict between light and weight, between striving and grounding, freedom and restraint, ascent and resistance.
A work about force and illusion, about ascent and opposition, about the will to shine and the ability to – provided the foundation holds. A symbol of striving for the higher, of yearning and ambition – but also of the chains that inevitably accompany greatness, holding it back. Regulatory. Envious. Human.
